Edmund S. Phelps (1933- )
Awarded the Prize “for his analysis of intertemporal tradeoffs in macroeconomic policy.”Edmund S. Phelps is an American Economist. He was born in Evanston, Illinois, USA on 26 July 1933. He received his PhD of Economic Science from Yale University in 1959. He is currently the Professor of Economic Sciences in the Columbia University.
