Oliver E. Williamson (1932-2020)

Awarded the Prize “for his analysis of economic governance, especially the boundaries of the firm.”

Oliver E. Williamson was an American Economist. He was born in Superior, Wisconsin on 27 September 1932. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1955 received his PhD in economics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1963. He was the Professor in the University of California, Berkeley Campus. He was the Academician in the National Academy of Sciences, American Academy of Arts Sciences. Oliver E. Williamson died on May 21, 2020 in Berkeley, USA.
