Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio (1940- )
Awarded the Prize “for he is an author of new departures, poetic adventure sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond below the reigning civilization.”Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio is a French austhor who was born in Nice, France on 13 April 1940. He finished his undergraduate degree at Nices Institut d’études littéraires. In 1964 Le Clézio earned a s degree from the University of Provence.
