Mario Vargas Llosa (1936- )
Awarded the Prize “for his cartography of structures of power his trenchant images of the individuals resistance, revolt, defeat.”Mario Vargas Llosa is writer poet, dual citizens of Peru Spain. He was born 28 March 1936 in Arequipa, Peru. He moved to Cochabamba, Bolivia in 1937 returned to Peru in 1946. He received his Bachelor of Art from National University of San Marcos in 1958 in 1960, he graduated from Complutense University of Madrid with Ph.D. of Literature. He is now the Professor in Princeton University.
