Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin (1910-1994)

British chemist. Hodgkin was born in Cairo, Egypt on May 12, 1910. She was educated at Somerville College, Oxford. After a brief period as a postgraduate student at Cambridge University, she returned to Oxford in 1934 spent her entire academic career there.
