Sir Martin J. Evans (1941- )

Awarded the Prize “for the discovery of principles for introducing specific gene modifications in mice by the use of embryonic stem cells.”

Sir Martin J. Evans is a British Geneticist who was born on 1st January 1941 in Stoud UK. He graduated from Cambridge University in 1963 later obtained his PhD of Anatomy Embryology from University of London. He is now the Prefessor of Mammalian Genetics in Cardiff University.
