Carol W. Greider (1961- )

Awarded the Prize “for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres the enzyme telomerase.”

Carol W. Greider is an American Female Molecular Biologist who was born on 15 April 1961 in San Diego, California, USA. She received her PhD of Molecular Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley in 1987. She is a member of US National Academy of Sciences, Fellor of American Academyof Arts Sciences. She is currently a Professor of Molecular biology Genetics in John Hopkins University.
