Jules A. Hoffmann (1941- )

Awarded the Prize “for the discoveries concerning the activation of innate immunity.”

French biologist. Mr. Hoffmann was born in Echternach of Luxemburg on August 2, 1941. He received his Ph.D. of biology in Strasbourg University of France in 1969. He used to be the chief of French National Science Academy. Currently, he is the professor of Strasbourg University council member of The French National Center for Scientific Research.
