Sir John B. Gurdon (1933- )

Awarded the Prize “for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent."

British development biologist. Mr. Gurdon was born in Hampton of Britain on October 2, 1933. He received his Ph.D. in Oxford University of UK in 1960. He was elected member of British Royal Society in 1971. Currently, he is the professor of Gurdon Institute of Cambridge University, UK.
