Paul J. Crutzen (1933-2021)
Awarded the Prize “for his work in atmospheric chemistry, particularly concerning the formation decomposition of ozone.”Dutch chemist. Crutzen was born in Amsterdam on December 3, 1933. He once studied at Middelbam Technische School. He was Director of Research at the National Center of Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado at the Max-Planck-Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany. Crutzen died on January 28, 2021 in Mainz, Germany.
