
John E. Walker (1941- )
Awarded the Prize “for his elucidation of the enzymatic mechanism underlying the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).”British chemist. Walker was born on January 7, 1941 in Halifax, Yorkshire. He received his M.A. Dr. Phil at Oxford University. He is the Dunn Director of the Medical Research Council in Dunn Human his Nutrition Unit, Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society in London.
