William S. Knowles (1917-2012 )

warded the Prize “for the study of chirally catalyzed hydrogenations.”

Knowles was a Chemist from USA, born on 1st of June 1917 in the States. He graduated from Columbia University with Ph.D in 1942. He retired from the Monsanto Co. after 44 years with the company. Knowles died on June 13, 2012 in Chesterfield, MO, USA.
