John B. Fenn (1917-2010)

Awarded the Prize “for his work in the field of mass spectrometry, specifically for the electrospray ionization technique often used to identify analyze biological macromolecules.”

American chemist. Fenn was born on 15 June 1917 in New York City, USA. He received Ph.D. from Yale University in 1940. He was Professor of Virginia Commonwealth University. Fenn died in Richmond, Virginia on December 10, 2010.
