Roderick MacKinnon (1956- )

Awarded the Prize “for his work on the structure operation of ion channels.”

Roderick MacKinnon is a professor of Molecular Neurobiology Biophysics. He was born on 19 February 1956 in Burlington, Massachusetts. He got his M.D. in 1982 from medical school at Tufts University. He is now a professor of Molecular Neurobiology Biophysics in Rockefeller University.
