Robert H. Grubbs (1942-2021)

Awarded the Prize “for his work in the field of olefin metathesis.”

Grubbs was an American Chemist who was born on the 27th of February 1942 in Calvert Kentucky USA. He obtained his Master of Science at the University of Florida in 1965 his Ph.D. at Columbia University in 1968. In 1978 he moved to California Institute of Technology where he was Victor Elizabeth Atkins Professor of Chemistry. Robert H. Grubbs died on December 19, 2021 in Duarte, CA, USA.
