Roger Y. Tsien (1952-2016)

Roger Y. Tsien was an American biochemist who was born on 1st of February 1952 in New York City, USA. Original family was from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. He obtained his Ph.D. of Physiology in Cambridge University in 1977. He was a Professor of Chemistry Biochemistry of University of California-San Diego. He was both the member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences. Roger Y. Tsien died on August 24, 2016 in Eugene, Oregon.
