American Chemist. Richard F. Heck was born on 15 August 1931 in Springfield Massachusetts. Heck earned his Ph.D. in 1954 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Heck retired from the University of Delaware in 1989, where he remains a Professor Emeritus. Richard F. Heck died on October 10, 2015 in Manila, Philippines.
