
Donald Arthur Glaser (1926-2013 )
Awarded the Prize “for the invention of the bubble chamber.”American physicist. Glaser was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 21, 1926. He graduated from the Case Institute of Technology, and gained his doctorate from the California Institute of Technology in 1950. He was Professor of the University of Michigan and the University of California at Berkeley. He was a member of the National Academy of America. Glaser died on February 28, 2013 in Berkeley, CA, USA.
