
Steven Weinberg (1933-2021)
Awarded the Prize “for his contributions to the theory of the unified weak electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles, including, inter alia, the prediction of the weak neutral current.”American theoretical physicist. Weinberg was born in New York City on May 3, 1933. He graduated from Cornell University in 1954 received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1957. He was Professor of Harvard University the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a member of the National Academy of Sciences American Academy of Arts Sciences. Weinberg Died on July 23, 2021 in Austin, TX, USA.
