Daniel C. Tsui (1939- )

Awarded the Prize “for his discovery of a new form of quantum fluid with fractionally charged excitations.”

American physicist. Tsui was born in the province of Henan in China on February 28, 1939. In 1951, he went to Hong Kong fulfilled his early studies. Later he entered the University of Chicago gained his Ph.D. in physics in 1967. In 1968, he took a position in Bell Laboratories in 1982 he came back to Princeton University became Professor.
