
Alexei A. Abrikosov (1928-2017)

Alexei A. Abrikosov was a Physicist, born on 25 June 1928 in Moscow, Russia SFSR, USSR. He held dual citizens of Russia and America. He got his Ph.D. in 1951 from the Institute for Physical Problems of the USSR Academy of Science. Abrikosov was an Argonne Distinguished Scientist at the Condensed Matter Theory Group in Argonne’s Materials Science Division. Abrikosov died on March 29, 2017 in Palo Alto, California.
