Vitaly L. Ginzburg (1916-2009)

Awarded the Prize “for pioneering contributions to the theory of superconductors superfluids.”

Vitaly L. Ginzburg was a Soviet theoretical physicist, astrophysicist who was born on 4 October 1916 in Moscow Russian Empire. He got his Ph.D. in Physics in 1942 from Moscow State University. He was Director of P.N.Lebedev Physical Institute, Consultatnt of Russia Institute of Science. He died on 8 November 2009 in Moscow, Russia.
