David J. Gross is an American Theoretical Physicist who was born on 19 February 1941 in Washington DC, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966. He is now the Professor in University of California, Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, Santa Barbara, CA, USA.
