George F. Smoot (1945-2025)

George F. Smoot was an America Astrophysicist Cosmologist who was born on 20 February 1945 in Yukon, Florida, USA. He received his Ph.D. in MIT in 1970. He was a professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley, senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, since 2010, a professor of physics at the Paris Diderot University, France. George F. Smoot died on September 18, 2025 in Paris, France.
