Makoto Kobayashi (1944- )

Awarded the Prize “for the discovery of the origin of the broken symmetry which predicts the existence of at least three families of quarks in nature.”

Makoto Kobayashi is a Japanese Physicist who was born in Aichi, Nagoya, Japan on 7 April 1944. He graduated from University of Nagoya in 1967 later in 1972 achieved his Ph.D. in the same University. He is now working in High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), Tsukuba, Japan.
