Serge Haroche (1944- )

Awarded the Prize “for ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring  manipulation of individual quantum systems."

French physicist. Mr. Haroche was born in Casablanca of Morocco on September 11, 1944. He received his Ph.D. in Pierre Marie Curie University of France in 1971. Currently, he is a foreign Academician of the National Science Academy of America professor of Collège de France, Paris France, ?cole Normale Supérieure, Paris, France.
