Mary E. Brunkow (1961- )

Awarded the prize "for the pioneering discoveries concerning the mechanisms of peripheral immune tolerance."

Biologist. Born in the United States in 1961. Dr. Brunkow received a bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington in 1983 and a doctorate in Genetics from Princeton University in 1991. Currently, she is a Senior Program Manager at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, USA.
