Inorganic Chemist. Born on July 4, 1951 in Kyoto, Japan. Dr. Kitagawa graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1974 and obtained his PhD from Kyoto University in 1979. Currently, he is the Vice President of Kyoto University and a Special Professor at the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS), Kyoto University.
