Physicist. Born in Cambridge, UK in 1942. Dr. Clarke received a bachelors degree, a PhD, and a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Cambridge in 1964, 1968, and 2005 respectively. He began teaching in the Department of Physics at the University of California, Berkeley in 1969. Currently, he is a Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
