Russian physicist. Born in 1945 in Leningrad, Soviet Union (now St. Petersburg, Russia). Dr. Yekimov graduated from the Leningrad Yoffei Institute of Physical Technology in USSR and obtained his doctoral degree in 1974. He immigrated to the United States in 1999. He used to serve as the Chief Scientist of Nanocrystalline Technology Inc. in New York, USA.
