Ben S. Bernanke (1953- )

Awarded the Prize “for research on banks and financial crises.”

American economist. Born on December 13, 1953 in Augusta, Georgia, USA. Dr. Bernanke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University in 1975 and he received his doctorate in economics from MIT in 1979. He was the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of the United States.
