Center for Civil Liberties (2007- )
Awarded the Prize for its joint effort in promoting the right to criticise power and protect the fundamental rights of citizens. It has made an outstanding effort to document war crimes, human right abuses and the abuse of power. Together with other Peace Prize laureates, it demonstrate the significance of civil society for peace and democracy.
Center for Civil Liberties was founded in 2007 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
