Ardem Patapoutian (1967- )
Awarded the Prize “for his discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch.”
American molecular biologist and neuroscientist. Born on 2 October 1967 in Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Patapoutian received his doctorate degree from California Institute of Technology in Pasadena in 1966. Currently, he is a researcher at the Howard Hughes Institute of medicine at the Scripps Institute in La Hoya, California.
