Harvey J. Alter (1935- )

American virologist and blood transfusion physician at the National Institutes of Health. Born on September 12, 1935 in New York, NY, USA. Mr. Alter received medical degree from the University of Rochester in 1960. He is former Chief of Clinical Studies at the Clinical Center, Associate Director of Research and Scientist Emeritus at Transfusion Medicine Department at the NIH Clinical Center.
