Female, French microbiologist, geneticist and biochemist. Born on December 11, 1968 in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France. Dr. Charpentier graduated from the Institute Pasteur in Paris, France, in 1995. Currently, she is Director of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens in Berlin, Germany.
