Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe (1954- )

Awarded the Prize "for the discoveries of how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability."

British physician and molecular biologist. Born on May 14, 1954 in Lancashire, England. He received his higher Doctor of Medicine degree from Cambridge University in 1987. Currently, Sir Ratcliffe is now a professor at Oxford University and Crick Institute.
