American immunologist. Born on August 7th, 1948 in Alice, Texas, United States. Dr. James Patrick Allison earned a B.S. degree in microbiology from University of Texas, Austin in 1969 and earned his bachelor degree in 1969 and Ph.D. degree in biological science in 1973, also from UT Austi. Currently, Dr. Allison holds the position of professor and chair of immunology and utive director of immunotherapy platform at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas.
