Donna Strickland (1959- )

Awarded the Prize "for the method of generating high-intensity, ultra-short optical pulses."

Female, Canadian Optical Scientist. Born on May 27, 1959 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Donna Strickland obtained her Bachelor Degree in Engineering Physics in McMaster University in 1981 and her PhD in Physics in University of Rochester in 1989. Currently, she is the associate professor of University of Waterloo.
