Bob Dylan (1941- )

Awarded the Prize "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition."

American songwriter, singer, artist, and writer. Born on May 24, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota of USA, Mr. Dylan published his first album in 1961. He was the winner of Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, Pulitzer, and other famous awards. His masterpieces include Blowing in the Wind, The Times They Are a-Changing, etc. He has published a collection of his poems and a collection of his sketches. He also published Chronicles: Volume One in 2005.
