Takaaki Kajita (1959- )

Awarded the Prize "for the discovery of neutrino oscillations, which shows that neutrinos have mass."

Japanese physicist & astronomer. Takaaki Kajita was born on March 9, 1959 in Higashimatsuyama, Japan. He received his doctorate in 1986 in University of Tokyo. Currently, he is at the Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe in Tokyo and Director of ICRR.
