Svetlana Alexievich (1948- )

Awarded the Prize "for her polyphonic writings, a monument to suffering and courage in our time."

Belarusian writer and reporter. Born on May 31, 1948 in Ukrainian of Soviet Union, Madam Svetlana Alexievich graduated from Department of Journalism from Belarusian State University (1972).
