Randy Wayne Schekman is an American cell biologist who was born on December 30, 1948 in Minnesota, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1974 and currently he is the Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Berkeley and researcher of Howard Hughes Medical Institute, USA.
