Arne Wilhelm Kaurin Tiselius (1902-1971)

Awarded the Prize “for his research on electrophoresis adsorption analysis, especially for his discoveries.”

Swedish biochemist. Tiselius was born on August 10, 1902 in Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated from the University of Uppsala obtained his doctorate in 1930. He was Professor of the University of Uppsala, Chairman of the Swedish Natural Science Research Council, President of the Nobel Foundation, a member of the Nobel Committee for Chemistry. Tiselius died on October 29, 1971 at Uppsala.
