
Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937)
Awarded the Prize “in recognition of his contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy.”Italian physicist electrical engineer. Marconi was born at Bologna, Italy on April 25, 1874. He was educated privately at Bologna, Florence Leghorn. His interest talent in wireless technique led him to a great inventor. In 1930, Marconi became President of the Royal Italian Academy. Marconi died in Rome on July 20, 1937.
