
Erwin Schrödinger(1887-1961)
Awarded the Prize “for the discovery of new productive forms of atomic theory.”Austrian physicist. Schr?dinger was born on August 12, 1887, in Vienna. He took his Ph.D. at the University of Vienna. In 1927, he became Professor of Physics at Berlin. In 1933, he came to Engl for a while held a fellowship at Oxford. In 1936 he was offered a position at Graz. In 1940, he went to Institute for Advanced Studies in Dublin, where he became Director of the School for Theoretical Physics. Schrödinger died on January 4, 1961 in Alpbach, Austria.
