Klas Pontus Arnoldson (1844-1916)
Awarded the Prize “for he is an untiring advocate of the ideals of peace, petitioning for a declaration of permanent neutrality by Sweden, indirectly encouraged Norwegian Parliament in 1890 to adopt his arbitration address.”Swedish journalist pacifist. Arnoldson was born in Gothenburg on October 27, 1844. He became a railway clerk rose to station but then left the railway to devote himself entirely to politics. In 1881 he was elected to the Swedish parliament. He supported the neutrality of the Nordic ries in 1883 helped to found the Swedish Association for Peace Conciliation. Arnoldson died on February 20, 1916 in Stockholm.
