The great worldwide humanitarian work of the League falls outside the sphere of the Peace Prize, but the cooperation between the Red Cross Societies of ninety different ries of different races, creeds, color is of very real importance for international understing peace.”The Red Cross movement began with the founding of the International Committee for the Relief of the Wounded (now the International Committee of the Red Cross) at Geneva, in 1863. International Committee of the Red Cross had won Nobel Prize in Peace twicely in 1917 1944.
