Mairead Corrigan (1944- )
Awarded the Prize “for tackling so fearlessly the perilous task of leading the way into no-man’s l, in the cause of peace reconciliation.”Northern Irish Social worker. Corrigan was born on January 27, 1944 at Belfast, Northern Irel. She once studied in St. Vincent’s Primary School, Miss Gordons Commercial College for one year. From 1960 on she worked in various positions as shorth typist. She was Director of Arthur Guinness & Co. was awarded Honored Doctor of Law from Yale University, U.S.A.
