David Trimble (1944- )
Awarded the Prize “for his efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Northern Irel.”Northern Irish politician. Trimble was born on October 15, 1944 in Belfast, Northern Irel. In 1968, he took his LL.B. (1st Class) from Queens University. In 1968 he began his career as a Barrister at Law. Then he taught at Queen’s University in 1981, becoming Head of Department of Commercial Property Law. He was elected Leader of Ulster Unionist Party in 1995 First Minister of The New Northern Irel Assembly in July 1998.
