Shirin Ebadi (1947- )

Awarded the Prize “for her efforts for democracy human rights. She has focused especially on the struggle for the rights of women children.”

Ebadi is an Iranian Lawyer, activist of Democracy who was born in Hamedan, Iran on 21 June 1947. She graduated from University of Tehran in 1971 with a Master’s degree in Law. She was a the President of the Tehran City Court now lectures law at the University of Tehran.
